Fikr Ventures at Festa '26 International Demo Day: Spotlighting MENA and Global EdTech Founders

On Friday, July 3, Fikr Ventures attended Festa '26's International Demo Day, a sunset gathering at 1926 La Vie Beach Club in Sliema offering an exclusive first look at founders from SuperCharger Ventures' Saudi and global cohorts, alongside SCV alumni and vetted local Maltese startups.

The evening centered on two programs built for very different stages of company building. c.xseed, focused on the Middle East, is a six-month acceleration program delivered in Saudi Arabia in collaboration with SuperCharger Ventures, Classera, and Falak (Investment Hub). Its ten curated EdTech and future-of-work startups were selected from 265 applicants across 61 countries, with a shared goal of accelerating growth across Middle East markets. Founders in this cohort are building across distribution-stage ventures spanning EdTech, health-tech, and workforce platforms, including EverybodyCounts, a UK-based venture building an affordable primary school maths mastery platform aimed at social impact on a global scale, alongside Jusoor Labs, Ayamedica, Humanava, and University Startups.

Alongside it, Cohort X.2 represents SuperCharger's fully online, eight-week global accelerator for early-stage EdTech and future-of-work startups, built around an intensive focus on fundraising readiness. Its founders join from Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, Tunisia, and Thailand, building ventures across tutoring, workforce training, and AI-driven learning tools.

For a fund built around backing MENA EdTech founders, an evening spent among Saudi-accelerated and globally distributed startups tackling many of the same distribution and fundraising challenges felt like familiar territory. Fikr Ventures came away with new connections across both cohorts and a clearer read on how EdTech founders outside the region are solving similar problems.
